  • Communicable Disease & Prevention

    Our goal is to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases.

  • Community Access Point

    We provide application assistance for temporary and continuous enrollment for certain health programs.

  • Emergency Preparedness

    We work with state and local government to provide emergency services in the event of threats endangering the health of the public.

  • Environmental Health

    Washburn County Health Department is responsible for enforcing Wisconsin State Statute 254, protecting the public from human health hazards.

  • Immunizations

    Public Health offers childhood immunizations at no cost through the Vaccine for Children Program.

  • Maternal Child Health

    We provide programming to assure quality health services are delivered to mothers, children, and families.

  • Rabies Control

    We investigate and provide education for all animal bites/exposures involving humans.

  • Reproductive Health

    We provide confidential education and access to care for men and women of child-bearing age.

  • Lead Poisoning Prevention

    We provide lead exposure investigation and assessments under Statute 254 for ages 1 – 5

  • NARCAN®

    We provide free NARCAN® with training.

  • WIC

    Women, Infants, and Children Services
