Public Health Emergency Preparedness

Washburn County Public Health Department works with state and local government to provide emergency services in the event of threats endangering the health of the public. Plans and programming continue with surrounding counties.

The Washburn County Health Department is a member of the Western Region Partnership for Public Health Preparedness (WRPPHP). WRPPHP was established to help prepare local public health agencies and their staff for acts of bioterrorism, infectious disease outbreaks, and other public health threats. The WRPPHP does this networking, coordinating, standardizing and centralizing resources and planning efforts among twenty local public health agencies in Western Wisconsin.
