What is WIC? Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a program that provides food and nutrition information to those who qualify. We’re here to help you with nutrition education, breastfeeding support, care beyond WIC, and access to healthy foods.
You May Qualify for WIC if:
You live in Wisconsin
You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or a new mother
You have an infant or child under 5 years of age
Have a household income (before taxes) that is less than or equal to WIC income guidelines WIC: Who is Eligible? | Wisconsin Department of Health Services
You may automatically qualify if your family receives Badger Care, Foodshare, or W-2 benefits
How to Apply for WIC
1. Call Wild Rivers WIC at 715-204-4159 to get started on your application. The clerk will walk you through the application process over the phone and let you know if you qualify.
2. Or fill out the online application here: _application link_ and email it back to: polkcountywic@polkcountywi.gov
For in-person visits, individuals on the WIC program residing in Washburn County will be able to come to the Washburn County Health Department for appointments.
